Do I need to be working remotely to join the trip?
The trip is designed for people working remotely (full time or hybrid) or looking to explore Chiang Mai and Pai in a slow way. As long as you match the vibe of the tribe, you are welcome even if you are on a career break, just need a longer vacation with interesting people, or in between jobs.
There are direct flights from major Indian cities to Bangkok costing about 20k return. From there, you can fly to Chiang Mai or take a overnight train/bus journey. Visit Skyscanner.com to find cheapest deals.
How much should I budget for food etc?
Chiang Mai has great variety of food from budget street bites to fine dine restaurants. We will do a mix of all. Keeping that in mind, food budget of ~1000 baht is more than sufficient. In case you want to rent a scooter, that costs 250-300 baht or more depending on which one you take. Coffee costs ~50-100 baht. Coworking costs ~250-500 baht.
For the entire set of experiences during the trip, you can set aside around 5000 baht.
How to reach Chiang Mai?
There are direct flights from major cities in India to Bangkok. From Bangkok you can reach Chiang Mai: 1. By direct flight of ~1.5 hours (Do watch out for the airport as there are 2 airports in Bangkok. )
2. Take an overnight bus from Mo chit bus terminal
3. By train: Take an overnight train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai (You can book your tickets on https://12go.asia/en for both bus and train)
