What is the duration of the program?
Remote Explorers’ retreats run for 28-30 days. The Goa retreat will start on February 7 @ 9am and end on March 7 post breakfast.
How to reach Goa?
Goa has an international airport with flights coming from many important countries around the world. Mumbai, Bangalore, and Kochi airports are also at accessible distance. Talk to us to get more idea on the best and the cheapest way to reach.
Are flights from/to my home country included in the price?
No. However, we are partnering with Flystein to get you some handsome savings on your flight bookings. Flystein will offer 15% discount to Remote Explorers participants.
Getting an Indian Visa is difficult, isn’t it?
Not anymore. Citizen of 161 countries can now get eVisa for 2 months. All you need to do is to apply on https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html and follow the instructions.
I want to come to India earlier, where can I go before Remote Explorers S1E1?
January/February opens up a lot more possibilities to travel around India as most places have pleasant weather. Kerala is a great destination during this time as the weather is not too hot or not too cold. You can also explore Rajasthan. Talk to us and we’ll be happy to assist you with your flight and travel plan.
I want to explore more of India after the retreat, where should I go?
March is the time when the winter starts receding. Spring is the best time to visit Indian Himalayas. We also have a coworking/coliving place in an Himalayan village if you want to spend a few peaceful weeks after the retreat amid nature.
What should I pack with me?
The weather in Goa will be pleasantly warm during the day and could get a bit chilly at night. Apart from comfortable cotton clothes, carry some sunblock. You can buy everything cheap in Goa though. Also, carry an international power adapter as the sockets may differ from your home country.
How about internet and power?
Since we are digital nomads ourselves, we know your needs. We are arranging for a fast and reliable internet (~20Mbps). We will also have a backup connection.
What sort of accommodation is available?
We have two options. Single and Twin-sharing rooms. We have ensured that all the rooms are clean and comfortable.
What about the workspace?
We are setting up a temporary workspace in the same building. We will provide fast and reliable internet, power backup, comfortable chairs, power sockets etc.
What about the weather?
Monsoons recede by early September, giving way to clearer skies and pleasant weather. This is the best time to enjoy the views of lush green foothills and treks in the lower Himalayas.
Do you have any plans to arrange for retreats in other parts of India?
We have recently concluded our first retreat in McLeodganj. We are planning to organize more retreats in India and SE Asia in the near future.
What is the selection process?
We will screen each of the applications carefully to make sure each participant adds value to the group. We will also arrange for telecon with applicants before we make a decision. We are looking for a good gender mix.
